Ask the AI questions- traideGo
Use the listed guiding questions or ask custom questions to Alice to increase reliability and improve traceability.
In Step 2 – Selecting the Appropriate Tariff Number, follow-up questions to the AI can be insightful to better understand the reasoning behind the decision. In the end, you are the expert and can ask the AI any questions you need in order to make your final decision.
You can, for example, ask the AI a question like: “Why didn’t you choose tariff number XY?” or use the listed guiding questions to help increase reliability. Below, we’ll walk you through the different options.
1. Similar BTIs
“Are there similar decisions from the Binding Tariff Information (BTI)?”
-
Yes, there is a relevant decision from the Binding Tariff Information (BTI) database that is applicable to the classification of the product.
With this question, the AI searches the European BTI database for additional references. The AI will then refer to a relevant decision, repeat the goods description, and provide both a classification and a legal justification according to the General Rules (GRI). The accompanying explanations and references form a comprehensive basis for the decision.
2. Explain the Product
“I want to better understand the product. Can you describe it?”
If you want to gain a clearer understanding of the product, the AI will assist immediately and explain the product to you. This question helps with product comprehension and acts as a counter-question to verify what the AI knows about the product and what information might still be missing.
3. Increase Reliability
“Which product information is missing for a reliable classification?”
Based on your goods description, the AI makes a classification suggestion. However, in some cases, the initial description lacks certain product details that are crucial for a reliable classification. The AI will list decision-relevant characteristics that are currently missing.
This particular answer is especially popular with our users, who often copy it and forward it to the responsible department to request the missing information needed for classification.
4. Additional Possible Tariff Numbers
“Which other tariff numbers might be considered?”
The AI will then suggest alternative tariff numbers along with their descriptions and provide reasoning as to why they may or may not be applicable.
