The AI then searches for the appropriate tariff number, considering General Rules for the Interpretation (GRI) 1 to 6 within the classification system. It takes into account internal and external explanations, refers to similar Binding Tariff Information (BTI) decisions, and makes a selection based on a collection of references.
After a brief processing time, the AI presents an explanation of the assigned tariff number in the following format:
- Product Understanding: A summary of the key details from the product description.
- Tariff Classification Analysis: A step-by-step breakdown of how the AI reached its decision, including relevant chapters, notes, and BTIs.
- Tariff Number(s): The selected or potential tariff numbers the AI has evaluated as suitable.
- Justification: The legal basis for the classification, referencing GRIs, explanatory notes, and BTIs.
- Request for Additional Information: Any missing details that could improve the classification accuracy.
- Summary: A recap of the decision.
The AI then presents the suggested tariff number along with a reliability rating. For transparency, you can access the tree view or source references for further verification.
At the end of the process, the referenced documents are displayed for review, along with any excluded tariff numbers.
Once a tariff number is selected, Step 3 opens.
